Fortunately the groomer operators have been paying better attention to the trail than I have to the website. As many of you know the trails have been in amazing condition and the groomer guys have been doing a great job covering all of the trails each week. With no fresh snow in the recent past they are using the drag on most of the trails this week to help cut them down and smoothen the better. This should be another great weekend for riding, so enjoy!

Sunday January 31, 2010. Aside from the cold it has been a beautiful weekend for riding. The trails are in perfect condition as everything was groomed this past week and looking great. Last weekend brought us very warm weather, and rain. It seemed that this would put a temporary end to our season, but Monday brought us a blizzard that refilled the trails and closed highways. BACK IN BUSINESS. The trails will be tuned up again this week so you can look forward to next weekend being very good also.

Tuesday January 19, 2010. With extremely great weather for riding this weekend, we also have had a pretty bad melt down on our snow. We will be having a limited grooming schedule due to snow conditions.

Friday January 15, 2010. Today the Lengby Trail and the Hwy. #24 and ½ of Hwy. #2 East where done and this will complete all of the trails for this week. Everything should be in great shape for the weekend riding.

Tuesday January 12, 2010. With a new group of operators along with our faithful operators from the past we now have a larger work force to keep the trails in great shape. Today was the Big trip to the Western front and as far as I know things are going well and they should be back later this evening.

Monday January 11th, 2010. The groomers run pretty much every day now. Today they groomed Fosston to Winger Hwy. #1 round trip, and the Fosston-Pine Lake Trail, along with Hwy. 24 one side, and U.S. Hwy. #2 one side back to town.

Friday January 8th, 2010. Two operators worked today and they completed the Lengby cross country trail, one side Hwy. #2 East, and the Bejou Trail.

Machines will start running again Monday January 11th. New trail map will be completed and ready for handing out this coming week.

Thursday January 7th, 2010. Hwy. #1 from Fosston to Winger round trip was completed today just in time for the operator to make it to safety class and put on his instructor hat.

Tuesday January 5th, 2010. The groomer headed West this morning and traveled out the Gentilly Corner returning to park at Erskine about 10:00P.M.

Wednesday January 6th, 2010. Today they fired up at Erskine about 8:00 this morning and headed to Brooks, back to Erskine and finally came to rest at the groomer shed about 5:00P.M.

The plan for tomorrow is to cover the Bejou Trail and the Winger Trail from what I have been told. I will let you know when I find out for sure. Extreme cold weather and ill groomer operators caused the delay on going West. (Along with a broke down machine.) But we are rolling again.

The Christmas Holidays have brought the snow needed to get the trails going.

Saturday December 26th We groomed Hwy. 2 East of Fosston.

Monday December 28th We groomed the Lengby Trail. The groomer with tiller has been damaged by a rock and is repairs are underway.

Tuesday December 29th We groomed the trail south of Fosston towards Bejou (there is a new connection this year from the end of our trail you can go West to Bejou, and South to Hwy. 200 and on to Mahnomen or other places. We are also close to getting a trail opened up to the East that will take you to Island Lake from this intersection.)

We also groomed Hwy. 2 East bound to the county line and West bound to Hwy. 24, North on 24 to the Pine Lake Trail, and East on the Pine Lake Trail to our intersection with Clearwater Trailblazers.

More grooming will be done daily.

REMEMBER THESE ARE THE FIRST PASSES WITH THE MACHINES AND PLENTY OF BUMPS AND HAZARDS STILL REMAIN, RIDE SAFE AND REMAIN IN CONTROL OF YOUR MACHINE.

Currently the trails have not yet opened but are ready to go as soon as snow conditions allow.

We have put a large effort into our signing this year and the trails should be great as soon as snow covers them properly.

Please remember that these trails run threw many types of land including private property and that permission has been given for the purpose of snowmobiling only. Any trespassing off trail or using these trails for anything but snowmobiling could result in the loss of the trail.
